LMMP iOS App Features
Tested on iPad 2 with LMMPIA version 1.0.0
. When network is not available, displays a dialog box: Network Error - The Internet connection appears to be offline.
. Options: Tile Cache (MB), Show Welcome Screen, Metric Values. Tile Cache: No Cache, 10MB, 25MB, 100MB, 250MB, 500MB, 1GB, 2.5GB, 5GB.
. Welcome Screen, which looks like a ViewPager with indicator in a dialog box. Welcome screen is only displayed once. Set Show Welcome Screen to true in Options will show the Welcome Screen again.
. VERY fast startup time.

. Main Screen
- Title bar: NASA logo, MOON TOURS, Navigation Aid switch, Fullscreen switch
- Map view
- Menu bar: Base Maps, Layers, Tour, Nomenclature Search
. Click on MOON TOURS brings up a dialog with three tabs: About, Glossary, and Help. A feedback button is linked to email.
. Navigation Aid
- Click on Navigation Aid to show: mini map, coordinates of screen center, and a cross hair.
- When navigation aid is enabled, a tap and hold gesture will activate a loupe and calculate the distance between the center and the tapped location.
. Click on Fullscreen switch to go to full screen mode (i.e. not title and menu bars)
. Base Maps
- 4 basemaps
- Straighten map - reset the orientation of the map
- Zoom out - zoom to full map
- Select basemap
. Layers
- Default layer is LRO LROC WAC Image Mosaic. Basemap layer cannot be removed. Nomenclature and Graticule are not selected by default.
- Each selected layer has an icon. Clicking on a selected layer will bring up a new panel with three controls: transparency, zoom to layer, and description.
- Some layers (colored layers in particular, e.g. Apollo Zone Metric Cam DEM, ColorHillshade) has legends associated with them.
- A maximum of six layers can be selected at the same time.
- In Edit mode selected layers can be removed and reordered, though reordering doesn't seem to work correctly.
- Add Layer
- Layers are organized in groups (e.g. Apollo, Apollo15 etc.) on four tabs (mission, instrument, product,and location).
- There's a search function to search for layers to add.
. Tours (Bookmarks)
- 6 bookmarks
- Selecting a bookmark show more information about the bookmark: an image (optional), description, and a link for more information. Selecting a bookmark also changes the layers and automatically zooms to the bookmark location.
. Nomenclature Search: search for certain features (not layers)
