Calculations were quite long. I have tried to do it correct upto best of my ability. Please check for the calculation error. I have a typing error too. I mean "Body Temperature" where i used "Blood Type" Last edited by abansal at

The answer is same, but there is some calculation difference in split on Aerial Creature

I would like to know how to choose the root node is it randomly or is there any rule to select the root node |

here is mine.. GX, it seems like you did something wrong on the entropy(D) calculation.. try to double check it again with my solution.. and let me know |

Hi Helloworld. I have calculated the entropy for the Root set and got the same result as ankur and xieguahu has provided. I think You have missed a term while adding the entropies. there are only four terms here (i.e -0.5283 + -0.4644 + -0.4644 + -0.3876). I have used google calculator and Matlab and i got the 2.232 as the root set. |

Here's the update of my solution.. GX, i think you miscalculated the Aerial Creature.. But the result is still the same split.. |
