Objective

The Department of Computer Science of California State University, Los Angeles, was recently established in 2001, and has strived to grow and provide a high quality curriculum to our students. Currently, the Department of Computer Science offers a graduate (MS degree), an undergraduate (BS degree), and a blended (BS+MS degrees) programs of study. These degree programs have been designed to prepare qualified students for careers involving the design of computer systems and their application to science and industry. These degree programs have been designed to prepare students for careers in computer systems design, science and entertainment.

The Industry Advisory Board (IAB) of the department is an important constituent that has a vested interest in the capabilities of our future graduates. IAB members are leaders in the industry whose advice is critical in preparing our students for the technical and practical demand of these industries. Advice and feedback from industry will help us gain a better understanding of industry demands, and help us shape the future direction of the department.
