CodePath.org is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit transforming computer science education for underrepresented minorities at over 56 colleges and universities, doubling in size every semester. CodePath transforms computer science education for women and underrepresented minorities. Students from your campus are a part of our CodePath community and we’re excited to share that CodePath and Workday are going to launch a hands-on, immersive, 10-week paid summer internship program for eligible sophomores who want a career in software engineering! Students will be hired by CodePath as interns and gain skills in web development and technical work experience. During the program, students will also participate in team meetings, workshops and be paired with industry mentors at Workday, a leading provider of enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources.

Program details:
- 10-week paid work and learning internship program for sophomores (class of 2023)
- Students will be introduced to full-stack web development, including database, back-end code, front-end code, testing, design and deployment via classroom instruction
- Students will be paired with professional mentors at Workday and meet on a weekly basis
- Students will create and present a capstone project during the second half of the course
- Participation in team meetings and workshops, with TAs available for support
- Program dates: June 7 - August 13, 2021
- Hours: 8 am - 4 pm PT, Monday thru Friday
- Compensation: $8,800 total
Internships are one of the best ways for students to develop software proficiency and break into the technology industry. Students who complete and perform well in the SITE program may receive offers from Workday for full-fledged technical internships during the summer of their junior year.
