This fall, Collective Youth is partnering with Microsoft volunteers to offer 1-on-1 mentorship to computer science students or students interested in the tech industry. Please forward and share this email with other students.
Sign up to join the Microsoft panel, October 27th @ 12 pm PDT, to learn about internships and to schedule a meeting with a professional volunteer to do a mock interview or to learn more about working in the tech field. Read the invite from one of our educators, Heven, to get your free ticket to the panel and mentorship:
Hello,
I am part of Collective Youth, we are a collective of BIPOC youth that focus on connecting to tech careers and designing with a social justice lens. In the future, we will be doing project-based skill-building where students will take initiative in building projects that will develop our technical proficiency. This month we are partnering up with professionals at Microsoft. They will be conducting a panel in which youth can ask questions and where aspiring techies can get 1-on-1 mentorship with a genuine Microsoft software engineer, project manager, or business operations manager with whom they can schedule mock interviews, resume building, or get general career advice.
Sign up at our Eventbrite page: https://www.eventbrite.com/o/collective-youth-31428235369 and add yourself to our: Slack group page
Sign up soon since there is limited space for our 1-on-1 mentorship.
Collective Youth is open to those who are interested in or are currently pursuing tech. The program is most relevant to college students or for enthusiasts who want a running start.
Thank you and please share this with other students. If you have any questions, please let me know.
