For anybody who has trouble uploading their profile picture to CSNS, the picture must be a .jpg or .JPG and not .png

I just uploaded a png profile picture and it worked. The system did resize it into a 320x320 jpg, but uploading png original should be fine.

When I upload a .png, it shows "no profile picture".

If you don't mind emailing me the png file (to csun@calstatela.edu), I can check if the system has some problem with the specific encoding of that image.

Note that the system only accepts images with at least 320x320 resolution.

CSNS resizes an uploaded picture to a 320x320 one for the profile page, and a 24x24 thumbnail, both of which are JPEG. The problem seems to be that if an uploaded png file has an alpha channel (representing transparency), the resize operation will fail because JPEG does not support alpha channel (at least not in a normal way). I've put in a fix that basically removes the alpha channel. PNG pictures should work now.
