Since we can use random values for the initial codebook and the training doesn't continue until it finds the perfect values for the codebook. Is it okay for our images to look slightly different each time and to look different from the sample image? Or are they suppose to look very similar to the sample image? Last edited by LHS at

That's true! Due the random intial codebook, the result image from task 1 will not the same for multiple runs. However, the apperances fro the same initial approach (random space vectors or random samples) shall be kind of similar to the sample results after about 50~100 iterations in VQ training. Of course, the results from different initial approaches are very different. |
