The ERAU’s NSF REU Site “Cybersecurity Research of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles” is receiving applications from eligible undergraduate students to perform research during this Summer 2020. The program duration is eight weeks, and selected students will receive a $600/week stipend as well as on-campus housing, meals, and up to $600 for travel expenses.

Research activities in this site will explore the cybersecurity of UAVs from multiple angles, including secure communication, data privacy protection, hardware cybersecurity, and secure control systems for autonomous UAVs. By conducting diverse but coherent research projects, participants will gain an in-depth understanding and hands-on experience in cybersecurity research for UAVs, as well as general computer and data security.

Eligibility requirements are:

- Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or permanent resident of the United States.

- Have a 2.8 or higher GPA (out of 4.0).

- Be a college undergraduate majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, or computing-related major at the time of REU participation.

- Be committed to working 40 hours per week on campus during the REU Site period.

Looking forward to receiving applications by students from your college,

Sincerely,
