So I got a new computer recently because my old one stopped working and I tried to download an Android emulator, but Android Studio says that my machine does not support VT-X or SVM.  Did anyone else run into this problem?

Does it have an AMD or Intel processor?

I think that is the problem. I think the emulator only supports Intel Processors. You may be able to find a work around or something. I am not sure this will work, but you may be able to download the BlueStacks Emulator and download the app onto it.

What you have to do is go into your BIOS and set either VT-X or SVM on. That will enable virtualization. Then you can follow some online guide to enable microsoft hyper-v and mess around with your android studio AVD manager setting.

you can access your BIOS by spamming DEL button or F12 or F11 or whatever button your motherboard indicates when starting up your computer.
