Each year IBM sponsors a student contest called Master the Mainframe (www.masterthemainframe.com) to introduce the topic of enterprise computing and introductory skills for mainframe computing.  Our Fortune 500 clients find it difficult to find and hire these skills and often times look to the participants of the Master the Mainframe to fill internships and full time positions.  This is both a contest and a learning experience that is open now through the end of the year.  It is the easiest way to provide students hands-on experience with this industry critical technology and earn open badges along the way that they can add to their resumes.

  I would love to see local students from Cal State LA hit our leaderboard and help fill these positions available not only in our Silicon Valley Labs but at other clients such as the State of California, Pacific Life, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, CitiGroup, American Express and more (sampling of jobs can be seen here and students participating in Master the Mainframe are highly encouraged to submit their resumes - www.zjobconnector.com).
