When I used the sample program's subtotal of $155.40 and multiply it by 0.9%, the sales tax is $1.3986. If I use 9%, then the sales tax becomes $13.986, which is exactly what the sample program displays. Do I use 0.9% or 9% to find the sales tax? |

9% is 0.09 when you multiply |

The problem states "assume sales tax is 0.9% of the total". If I use that, then $155.40 * 0.009 will give a sales tax of $1.3986 instead of $13.986. |

I think it's a mistake, it was supposed to be 9%. ( I maybe wrong, but I did it with 9%. Usually sales tax is between 8-10%. |

I used "0.09" and got the same number as in the example problem. |
