I was wondering if anyone else has gotten the read and write methods to work? Whenever I try to read one of Keenan's files I get an error, but whenever I write over these files then try to read them they work perfectly fine. Any thoughts?

I had the same issue. Try placing your files in the default package, rather than a package you created.
