Federal Diversity Internship Initiative is a fully funded, paid internship program with various federal agencies.

There is high demand for students with an IT-related background  - such as computer science, computer information systems, cybersecurity, and information technology - during the upcoming summer semester. We expect students with related training and experience to be very successful candidates, and they are highly encouraged to apply!

Accepted students will have a chance to intern for 10 weeks at one of these agencies:

  • Federal Aviation Administration
  • Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  • U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
  • U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
  • U.S. Department of the Treasury
  • U.S. Census Bureau
  • National Archives and Records Administration

Interns will receive housing (paid for by The Washington Center) close to their internship location, a twice-monthly stipend, and professional guidance from a TWC adviser.

Interested students must submit an application by January 18, 2017 to be considered.
