Below are the grades you would have in the course if we counted only the projects reviewed to date. That means that if you get no more projects reviewed, this is the grade you will get. Since I am not supposed to disclose grades publicly, I've removed the names and sorted by score. I will post individual grades to CSNS. I made one significant change to the Review sheet. I am concerned that too many students were given credit for project 7c by someone other than me. Since 7c was one of the two most challenging projects (Project 9 is the other) and since many of you put it off until recently and then were reviewed by each other, I am asking you each to see me for a review. I have removed the credit for 7c for anyone reviewed by someone other than me. The scores below represent the following: number of projects reviewed, number reviewed by me, point score, and grade. The point score was calculated by assigning each grade a number between 0 (for F) and 12 (for A+). If someone had fewer than 5 projects reviewed by me (assume only n < 5 projects) then the lowest (5-n) scores were removed from the list of scores. So if you had 10 projects reviewed but only 3 reviewed by me, you got credit for 8 projects. (As I said, the ones for which you didn't get credit were your lowest scores.) I then summed the scores and divided by 12 (the number of projects in the course). The average score was rounded to the nearest integer with scores exactly between two integers rounded up. The result was translated back into a grade -- again 0 (for F) to 12 (for A+).
grades = ["A+", "A", "A-", "B+", "B", "B-", "C+", "C", "C-", "D+", "D", "D-", "F"] Reviewed: 11; Reviewed by Abbott: 6; Point score: 10.5 (max 12); Grade: A; As you can see, even without 7c and without projects to be reviewed next week, the grades are reasonably high.

I see that without project 7C and 9 reviewed, the highest grade one can get finally is B+, not reasonably high. |

There are a total of 7 A or A- grades. No one has project 9 reviewed, and only two people have 7c reviewed. So there are 5 A or A- grades for people with neither 7c nor 9 reviewed. I have left (actually restored) the dates for the 7c reviews. If your first review with me is successful you will get credit for having completed 7c on the original date. |

I've created an "assignment" on CSNS in which I entered your scores. (There is nothing to submit.) There is no "grade." Your score record is in the comments. |
