I have one doubt in homework 2-second question which is as follows:

2. Suppose the MAC forward/filter table of the switch in the following diagram is empty initially, where does the switch forward the frame to and how does the table change if the following events happen sequentially? Note: you can use A’MAC, B’s MAC to fill out the table.

Now can we use any mac address for host A, B, C and D or we have to take values same as depicted in previous question.

According to the note which Dr.Guo wrote in the question, I believe you don't need to write specific MAC addresses - for example if you want to write MAC address for host A you can simply write in the table A's MAC.
