I was looking around the internet for what the VPN is and I found here on slide 39

gluLookat(eyex,eyey,eyez,atx,aty,atz,upx,upy,upz);

VPN = [atx-eyex, aty-eyey]

But when I looked in to the notes it says:

gluLookAt(eye.x, eye.y, eye.z, look.x, look.y, look.z, up.x, up.y, up.z);

The VPN is defined as “eye – look”.

I'm unsure which one is the correct formula to follow to find the VPN.  eye - look or look - eye

The book says VPN = eye - look (section 7.2.1). It then goes on to say that when we normalize VPN it becomes the n vector. Both the VPN and the n vector point from look to eye (they point the opposite direction from where the camera is facing).

Ok, I will use eye-look.

Can I have your email?  I thought I would've been able to find your email in a class list or something.
