I was working on the homework 1 and the congress people represent a district. Does district mean the state they represent? |

No. Each state is divided into a number of congressional districts, and each district elects one congressperson to the U.S. House of Representatives (i.e. the congressperson represents that district). For example, California has 53 congressional districts, and CSULA is located in District 34. |
