I'am interested in knowing what are the best tools to use for computer science, for this class and in the future. Or any good tips for myself in general.

for cs in what category? and there are no one BEST tool , you will often need to combine multiple tool to get your job done. as for 101 you need notepad ++ to edit html(ide that can predict your code) as progress to java you need eclipse c++ use codeblock and python can use notepad ++ as well, therefore no one software will be the solution to your question, you need to combine multiple software to achieve your goal
