What kind of topics will we cover in CS 101?

According to the syllabus we will be covering, how to communicate effectively orally and in writing, learn the knowledge, skills, and attitudes for lifelong self-development, learn to analyze the local and global impact of computing on individuals and society, gain a fundamental understanding of social, professional, ethical, legal, and security issues in computing. 

Other topics that will covered are getting an overview of computing disciplines, learning the critical thinking skills required of a Computer Science major, cover what the Computer Science requirements for the B.S. degree are, and go over the resources available to students.
