Just wanted to get an opinion  from people who have gotten past the 300 level classes. I'm planning on taking 312, 320, 332F and maybe 386. Is this too much? Should i put off 386 or 312 for winter?

I've heard you shouldn't take 312 and 320 at the same time.

 

312 has a reputation for being extremely difficult as well as 320. 

Yeah i have no idea about  386, but I know someone who took CS312 in Spring 2015 and he told me to never take 320 and 312 at the same time, since they will probably be the hardest CS classes you'll take here.

Personally,

1) I would take 320 in Winter or Spring of 2016, and keep CS 312 for Fall 2015

OR

2) I would take CS 320 In Fall 2015, but they don't seem to offer CS 312 in Winter Quarter if the past 3-4 years is any indication, so you would have to take CS 312 in Spring 2016 instead.

 

 

This is because in the past schedules, (Fall 2014, Fall 2015,Winter 2014, Winter 2015, Spring 2014, Spring 2015)

1) CS Dept have always offered CS320 every quarter, however CS 312 AND CS 386 seems to be only offered in The Fall and the Spring. 

2) This trend seems to go even as far back as 2012 (just look up the class schedules from the past ..it seems like the CS department is consistent in which courses are offered every quarter (albeit at different times).
