The Office of Finance is part of Los Angeles City Government, and we are currently looking for one student 

intern in our Information Technology Department.  The intern will assist in providing end-user technical support for over 350 computer users.

Job Duties:

Installs, tests, troubleshoot, customizes, and implements software and hardware; Troubleshoot system problems including Local Area and Wireless network;

Help administers security in users, group, and computers

using Windows Active Directory;

Supports Client/Server Application that utilize Oracle Database;

May assists providing in multi-user application and server support as required;

Identifies usage and operations problems; 

Prepares or upgrades system sites for equipment installation;

Monitors and coordinates problem resolution with;

responsible vendor and City personnel;

Monitors operation and performance to ensure system;

efficiency and effectiveness;

May design and administer surveys;

May conduct end-user training programs;

May act as technical liaison with end-users responding to

requests for assistance in such areas as program operation,

hardware and/or software problems, or application design;

May occasionally be assigned to other duties to meet

technological changes or emergencies.

 

Other Information:

Working Hours - flexible schedule up to 1,000 hours per year (preferred working hour:16-24 

hours per week)

 

Hourly Pay  - approximately $16.72 - $17.18

Holiday Pay - 4 HR (depends on the schedule)

Sick Day Pay - after 500 hours and six month

Vacation Pay -  after 500 hours and six month
