Are we allowed to post a drawing or describe the db structure on the forum? I have an idea of how to design the db, but I wanted some feedback if it was sound.

No. You can go to the office hours and discuss it with the TAs or me, and I'm not against you discussing it in private with other students either, but posting it in the forum is obviously not appropriate.
