Can a single checkpoint exist in multiple plans?

For example : 2 departments have a same checkpoint "Algebra", so will our database consist a single "Algebra" entry or will there be multiple entries with same checkpoint name since it is used in 2 plans?

It's possible to have checkpoints with the same name, not just in different plans, but even in the same plan. It's up to you to decide whether you want to implement it as one checkpoint or multiple checkpoints.
