Whenever we see log(n) in Computer Science, we're always referring to log_2(n) and not log_10(n), right?

From Mathematical Identities.

logb(x) = logc(x) / logc(b).

In other words, switching from one log base to another involves multiplying by a constant. Since we don't care about constants, the base doesn't matter.
