Does the level of college degrees make a big difference in securing a job in the field of programming?

My guess not really, in this day and age, it's more about who you know and who you network with while your in college. That and maybe what kind of experience you have had ie internships, field related work, etc.

I'd say that it is more with what you know and what experiences you have attained from pursuing the field you have interest in that makes you seem appealing to employers. I think that the higher degrees are more for prestige and getting a further depth in your education, which can arguably help you have higher job security, but it's debatable. I don't know. I'm just a kid. Just spewing my intuition from my floppy fingers.
