Information Technology Sample Job Description • For internal systems: identify business requirements, create application and infrastructure design documents, write assigned application and database code, review code of off-shore development team, participate in integration testing. • Engage Studio Services, Production Services, Post Production, and Facilities to understand and document current business processes and usage of existing applications. • Visit in-person studio production lot based in LA to observe and document production workflows, application usage, and IT needs. • Document recommendations to established processes/systems, and provide implementation plans for roll out of improvements. Provide input for multi-generational execution plan with cost benefit analysis for each program. • Understand functionality within and interfaces among all Studio Operations 30+ applications, including: Rental Works, Rental Tracker Pro, ScheduAll, Xytech, and ORBIT • Conduct industry benchmark and document applications used by competing studios for key business process areas. • Partner with client services to ensure proper desktop and mobile device support for Studio Operations business users. • Participate heavily in the vendor selection, technology evaluations, and information security testing for new third-party solutions. • Work closely with the business to identify comprehensive system requirements, leverage IT Security to ensure company data protected accordingly, and partner with Sourcing to vet vendor viability and financial health.
