These are some of the most important things to do before graduating college:

1. Learn how to write before graduating.

2. Learn C before graduating.

3. Learn microeconomics before graduating.

4. Don't blow off non-CS classes just because they're boring.

5. Take programming-intensive courses.

6. Stop worrying about all the jobs going to India.

7. No matter what you do, get a good summer internship.

Good point in learning C, there's a lot of software that's still developed in C. I still don't understand why so many schools go with Java as the main programming language to teach when C/C++ also have a very practical use in the real world. I suppose it comes down to getting your feet wet and then it's on you to learn more languages as you go, because just like spoken languages, the more programming languages you know, the better the opportunities that are available to you.

Question, explain the purpose behind microeconomics in cs ?
