Not that I would ever advocate unethical behavior such as making use of pirated media when you've paid for a legitimate copy, but copies of the cormen text exist in abundance in the wild west of the internet. One could actually argue that there is no ethical or even legal "problem" with using a pirated text if you own a legitimate copy! Last edited by Adam Berman at

It's absolutely possible that my opinions on such a subject are less tempered when proffered in an environment that doesn't link them indeliably with my real name on the public internet in a forum run by the people who both have a large vested interest in the proliferation of the current textbook publishing system (at least those who have published textbooks; not sure if any of the profs in CS department actually have, but still) and also a large degree of control over my grades.
