Is there a CS major study group? if there isn't how can I make one? I think that it will be very useful if CS major student work together about assignments we can share what we know and we can ask what we don't know

I would also like to know if there is a CS major study group where we can ask our fellow students about questions we don't understand. Getting help in person is easier and quicker than using the forums in my opinion. |

There aren't any department run study groups. If you have questions you should always try to go to the office hours of your professor first and foremost. Also, I believe ACM is offering tutoring hours for the quarter so you can inquire about those in the CS office. Other than that, any other study groups should be organized by the students. Keep in mind though (especially for programming courses) that even if you form a study group, you still need to do your own work. Sharing and looking at code from another person, will prevent you from really learning the ins and outs of programming, plus you run the risk of duplicate code being called into question and possible investigation for cheating. |
