However, you can take it before having 135 units, it is recommended to take WPE before having 135 units so that you will not face this trouble after having 135 units. Keep this in mind, prerequisite is English 101 or 103. If you do fail this WPE, you will be asked to go to writing center and see your grade. They will ask you to either take an English class (Univ 400 from my memory), or retake the WPE again of your choice. Nevertheless, there is not a limit on how many times you can take it. As mentioned above, it is recommended to take it as early as possible.
