We need expert practitioners who want to understand and influence the why’s, not just the how’s.

Role:

• Play a key technical role in all phases of an Applico project (Strategy, Definition, Design, Engineering, QA), by helping our clients achieve success in the Connected Revolution
• Develop and build connected architectures for our clients that reflect best practices in the connected space
• Translate business requirements into solid, sound technical documentation which represent an innovative connected solution
• Socialize insights, recommendations, and work product among key actors internally and externally
• Lead, organize, and position Product Engineering and other operational teams to present Applico’s optimal work product to our clients
• Evaluate new technologies in order to deliver premium products and to our clients
• Help drive home internal process improvements which may vary from process modifications to automation tasks  
• Help manage internal backlog projects
• Package stories, insights, and business frameworks to mentor Applico team members
• Contribute to monthly team meetings, and report on goals and accomplishments 

Skills / Experience:  (Technology, Architecture, Process, Other)

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the connected technology arena
• Strong knowledge of Mobile SDKs including but not limited to Android, iOS and Windows Phone
• Proficient in one or more of the following languages; Java, Objective-C, C# (.NET), HTML5/CSS/JavaScript
• Exposure to backend architectures. .NET and Node.js experience is a plus
• Experience with developing sound mobile app architectures which take into account data access, caching and 3^rd party service integration
• Comfortable reading and identifying issues with technical API documentation
• Demonstrated proficiency in the creation of “universal” apps which focus on multi form factor experiences (phone, tablet, phablet)
• Solid understanding of proper modern REST architectures as well as mBAAS platforms such as Kinvey and Parse
• Demonstrated experience in both Agile and Iterative environments
• Exposure to a variety of multiple SDLCs a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated passion for technology and its use in driving efficiencies throughout the SDLC
• Ability to work well in a flexible, dynamic work environment
