Hello, I'm interested in taking these courses online through distance education. The offering school is University of North Dakota Online & Distance Education. http://distance.und.edu/collegecourse/?id=math208open
MATH208: Discrete Mathematics
These are some of the topics covered in this course as per the school's website:
Course DescriptionThis mathematics course is an introduction to:
Other topics from Graphs, Finite Automata, and Formal Languages are covered.
I also found another course that I am interested in taking through the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This course is Linear Algebra https://www.math.wisc.edu/~chandara/math_algebra.htm This information is taken directly form the school's website: "This is the same high quality linear algebra course taught in the Department of Mathematics for three University of Wisconsin-Madison credits. "
So should I obtain clearance from the CSULA Math Department to verify that the above named courses will transfer over to CSULA transcript credit, or can this be done in the CS Department?
Thank you. Regards. Last edited by JackStrauss at

The two courses mentioned from "University of North Dakota" and "University of Wisconsin - Madison" are transferable. You need to submit official transcript directly from the university to CSULA to get credit.
Any Computer Science upper division online courses have to be approved by the department for receiving credit. |
