Try starting Eclipse a few times and see if the problem would just go away. When Eclipse hangs, just kill it (and javaw.exe) in Task Manager -> Processes, then try starting it again.

Your disk may be failing which would cause some files to be corrupted. Use tools like CrystalDiskInfo to check disk health, and scan the disk for bad sectors.

If the disk is fine, just reinstall Eclipse.
