ProgFest is an annual Cal State Los Angeles programming competition aimed at high school and community college students whose goal is to encourage their interest in computer science by challenging them to solve college-level and real-world programming problems. It is one of the College of ECST’s biggest annual events and a major focus for CSULA ACM and CSULA Computer Science students.

We are looking to make the 2012 ProgFest to be as great as ever, and to that goal, the board of ACM is looking to establish a ProgFest Team. The team will be involved in all areas of ProgFest from preparation to production such as: outreach to local schools, writing the problem sets, judging, etc… The ProgFest Team needs dedicated members who are the most proactive and dedicated students in the college of ECST to join. All active and dedicated team members will receive an incentive to be determined after the successful conclusion of ProgFest.

ProgFest happens in February, so the team needs to get active as quickly as possible. If you’re a true go-getter and want to make it known, come to our meeting Wednesday, November 2nd at 3:20pm in E&T A309.
