I do not understand what "Sliding gradient control" is supposed to do in our homework? What does it mean?

What if the user did not want to set the lights at 50%? Lets say the user wants to set the lights at 35%

I think means that we can give the user a choice on how bright they want the settings of the light. So maybe we can give the user a choice on how bright they want the lights. You can give them the choice on where to set the lights, wether it be 50 or 35. I hope that was helpful.

i interpreted the "sliding gradient control" like a dimmer switch

so the user would enter an integer between 0 (lights being off) and 100(lights being all the way on). this way the user can set the lights to any percentage that they want.
