Maybe I am understanding this incorrectly, but there should be one motion vector per 16 x 16 macro block yes? In the mv.txt file posted on the class website she says the original image size is 64 x 48 which means there are 4 * 3 = 12 macro blocks..... This means there should be 12 motion vectors for that image correct? If this is the case then why does she have 16 motion vectors in the mv.txt file? Did anyone else notice this or am I just completely off? Last edited by kknaur at

You're right, the example she posted is incorrect and is only supposed to have 12 blocks. I overheard this when someone brought this up to her after class. She has been meaning to change it but has yet got to it. Last edited by mchan at

I did ask right after class, any you are right. It should be one M.V per block. |
