I am taking Math 206 in the spring. I am wondering if it is required to take the math 206P and the ENGR 154 workshop all together or it is just recommended. |

You do not have to take the ENGR 154 workshop but it is recommended. You have to take the P workshop unless the math department allows you to be exempt from it by having a B or A (I do not remember) in your previous math class. Last edited by tliang at

The math 206 P workshop was implemented by the math department because they noticed a lot of students not passing the calculus level courses. The workshop helps you as a student learn the material better. For me, it wasn't until the third time I took Calculus III with the workshop I was able to pass with an A grade (I was shocked too!) Also, if your able to explain the material to other students in your class, it means you know it to pass the quizzes, midterms, and final exam. Last edited by atigolo at

It all depends on what your transcripts allow you to take. I am currently in the ENGR 154 workshop and the Math 206P. It is not required but it is highly recommended. |
