The Lunar Exploration Web and Mobile Applications project consists of three smaller projects. These three projects are closely related or dependent upon The Lunar Mapping and Modeling Portal. The Lunar Mapping and Modeling Portal allows anyone from curious students in the comfort of their own home to the mission planners at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to view lunar visualization data from one website. This website allows users to not only view maps of the lunar surface but also gather information on any location on the lunar surface. The Lunar Exploration Web and Mobile Applications project works closely with this website in three ways. First, by involving the refactoring of a function called the Lighting Tool. Second by providing an Android application for the website and third, by creating a three dimensional first person view image generator.
The three projects and their assigned team members:
- LMMP Lighting Tool(LMMPLT): Daniel Young, Kevin Huang and Howard Li
- LMMP Android Application(LMMPAA): Eddie Arevalo, Daniel Soto, Alvaro Ortiz
- Virtual Photograph Generator(VPG): TBA
